Wilco Zeelenberg confident Trackhouse will improve performance at Misano: 'We've made improvements to our package and we want to be more competitive'

Trackhouse Racing's Wilco Zeelenberg 'confident' of performance improvement at Misano

Team principal Wilco Zeelenberg is "confident" that Trackhouse Racing will improve its performance at Misano as the team continues to develop its Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE package.

The American team has shown promising pace in its rookie NASCAR Cup Series season, with Daniel Suarez scoring a top-five finish at Sonoma and Ross Chastain a top-10 at Circuit of the Americas.

However, the team has struggled at some of the more traditional road courses, such as Watkins Glen and Road America, and Zeelenberg admits that the team needs to continue to improve its package.

Zeelenberg: "We've made improvements to our package and we want to be more competitive"

"We've made improvements to our package and we want to be more competitive," Zeelenberg said. "We've learned a lot over the last few months and we're starting to understand what we need to do to be faster."

Zeelenberg said that the team has been working on improving the handling of its car, as well as its engine power.

"We've made some changes to the suspension and the aero package, and we've also worked on improving the engine power," Zeelenberg said. "We're confident that these changes will help us be more competitive at Misano."

Trackhouse Racing will be one of four teams making their debut at Misano this weekend, and Zeelenberg said that the team is looking forward to the challenge.

"Misano is a great track and we're excited to race there," Zeelenberg said. "We know that it's going to be a tough race, but we're confident that we can be competitive."

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Misano will take place on Sunday, July 24.
