Michigan Football Recruiting News: Impressive Starts for QB Commits in Week 1 Football Action

In-State Signal-Caller Shines, Out-of-State QB Shows Promise

Ann Arbor, Michigan - The 2023 football season is just getting started, but two Michigan football commits are already making a name for themselves. In-state signal-caller CJ Carr and out-of-state quarterback Dante Moore both had impressive starts to their senior seasons in Week 1.

Carr Leads Saline to Victory

Carr, a four-star recruit from Saline, Michigan, threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-14 win over Ann Arbor Huron. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound quarterback completed 15 of his 20 passes and also rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Moore Impresses in Detroit Catholic Central Win

Moore, a five-star recruit from Detroit Catholic Central, threw for 285 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-14 victory over Orchard Lake St. Mary's. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback completed 18 of his 25 passes and also ran for 40 yards and a touchdown.
